Florida Ticket Station will begin spotlightling a feature ride from one of our Attraction Partners monthly.  This month’s feature ride is Hollywood’s Rip Ride Rocket at Universal Studios^® Orlando.

This coaster reaches top speeds of 65 miles per hour and towers 17 stories over Universal Studios^® Florida.  Before stepping in, you pick your song of choice to rock out to during your ride, then it’s all recorded on video.  You can edit your adventure into a music video, and buy a copy to take home or send to friends.

Universal Orlando^® created this to be Orlando’s tallest roller coaster that also features serveral exciting, "never been done" elements, including the world’s first non-inverting loop.  With a combination of audio and special effects engineering and sophisticated on and off board video, this one of a kind personalization takes you on a coaster experience unlike any other in Orlando.

The coaster’s music playlist features 30 hits from genre of music ranging from contemporary to classic artists for every age group. Riders pick a song and each seat is outfitted with individual stereo speakers so guests can rock out to 90 decibels of music, and yet never hear the songs playing for other riders.  Their song pick will be the soundtrack to their ride and to a music video.

Every fall, The Walt Disney World Resort ^® Area welcomes the International Food & Wine Festival to Epcot^®. This event transforms Epcot^® into a food and wine lover’s paradise with specialty food items, culinary events, sophisticated parties and live musical entertainment.  In addtion to wines and beers from around the world, guests can try delicious regional foods at any of the special marketplaces set up along the World Showcase Promenade at Epcot^®.

Kennedy Space Center in welcoming Bill Nye, America’s favorite science guy, on August 4th.  Bill Nye will prepare you for what to expect during the Juno Mission lifting off aboard an Atlas Rocket August 5th on it’s way to Jupiter.  Presentations from Bill Nye will be at 11 am and 1 pm, and are first come, first serve basis, so arrive early!

Visitors will also get the next day free to view the Atlas launch live.  Prime viewing will be available to the first 2,000 guests on August 5th.  The launch is scheduled between 11:34 am and 12:43 pm. Gates will open at 7 am.

Dave & Buster’s has arrived in Orlando and is a great addition to the vacation area of International Drive.  The building boasts a multi-level parking garage with the main level above where the resaturant, game and bar area are located.  Dave & Buster’s has a casino feel upon entering with lights flashing and bells ringing.  The bar is the center point with the restaurant on one side and the games on the opposite.  Dave & Buster’s is for ages 18 and up unless accompanied by an adult of 25 and older.

Games are played with power cards that are reloadable and based on points.  Games reward with points which can be redeemed for prizes ranging anywhere from silly snakes to shot glasses to X Box 360’s and even I pads.

Universal Orlando^® Resort commemorated the anniversary at 9:23 a.m. – the exact time The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened on June 18, 2010. After taking part in a countdown led by the Hogwarts Express conductor, guests and team members celebrated in the streets of Hogsmeade while “snow” confetti and gold streamers fell from the sky. Guests also enjoyed complimentary Butterbeer, cauldron cakes and Chocolate Frogs.
“We’re so excited to celebrate this milestone with our guests,” said Bill Davis, president of Universal Orlando^® Resort. “It’s been an incredible year for us and our guests, and we look forward to creating more exciting memories with them in the years to come.”
Universal Orlando^® Resort also created a virtual celebration by launching a new “Share Your Story” tab on its official Facebook page. The all-new tab gives fans the opportunity to interact with one another and share favorite memories and photos from their visit to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – whether it’s tasting Butterbeer for the first time, watching their daughter as she’s selected by the perfect wand or soaring above Hogwarts with their family.
If fans have not been able to visit The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, they can share why they aspire to on the “Share Your Story” tab as well. U.S. residents who share their stories on the tab will be automatically entered into a contest where they can win a trip to Universal Orlando^® Resort this fall.
